Delta 5 Previously Unseen Photos From 1981

Thanks once again to Justin Thomas – another glorious selection of previously unseen photos.

This time Leeds post-punk band Delta 5.

Their music was inspiring to me as a 14 year old – I had just started to learn bass guitar by playing along to my records. I had bought the Delta 5 album and studiously started to try and learn their complex bass lines. I realised a couple of weeks down the line that they had two bass players. Ah, that explains why they were so darn hard to play!

These are all from 1981. Firstly from The Lyceum in The Strand, London.

Wonderful photos – thanks so much Justin.

Here’s what they sounded like – I never knew they had been on Top of the Pops! Wow! It has a little biog running underneath – saves me writing it! 😉
