Geese in Paris 7 March 2026

I had a wonderful night in Paris on Saturday watching Geese. Danny and I got the tickets in September when it seemed they were suddenly EVERYWHERE. I confess, that’s when I first became aware of them, even though, ‘Getting Killed‘ the album that has been getting them such wonderful recognition is actually their fourth. I knew of their singer, Cameron Winter from the reviews I read of his solo album earlier in 2025, but didn’t check Geese out until a few months later.

We thought it would be a bit more fun then seeing them in the U.K. and, Paris? Well, a city we both love and have had many adventures in previously.

Support was from Manchester’s West Side Cowboy who I hadn’t heard of before. They were great, really took me back to gig going in the ’90s in London. (There was a brilliant from band from Derby called Cable they reminded me of).

Geese were off the scale. The atmosphere was incredible, people spontaneously whooping and cheering, singing along and knowing all the words. Such talented musicians, such an enigmatic songwriter; perfect for these times. His voice, which I know some people can’t get their heads round, was magical. He’s a front man who just has a great off kilter charisma. No talking in between songs, when he said a few French words in the middle of a track, the crowd went mad. Their connection was a powerful one
