‘Come Hell Or High Water’ New Tennessee Waltz Out Today

The second artist to be released by this blog record label and the first not to feature me!

Here’s ‘My Sin’ from the e.p..

The e.p. is a collection of songs recorded in 1986 by New Tennessee Waltz. Based in Fleet, Hampshire, the band were regulars at The Buzz Club in Aldershot, where they supported The June Brides and The BMX Bandits. If they weren’t on stage, they were usually in the crowd. They played semi-acoustic guitars and wore great clothes.

Gary, lead singer, semi-acoustic playing guitarist and indie guitar music lover, met Danny when he went into Our Price, Camberley, to buy The June Brides album and Danny served him. A friendship was formed and Gary gave us a demo by his band New Tennessee Waltz. We loved it and gave them a couple of support lots at The Buzz Club.

Now, over 30 years later, I am very happy to release those tracks through my blog site. I really hope you enjoy them! Thanks very much to Phillip Hutchinson who sent me these photos of the band on stage at The Buzz Club plus a rehearsal tape, which inspired me to release these 1986 recordings.

They are available to download through all the usual digital sites. You can listen here via Spotify.
