I’m very happy to say that a limited edition vinyl compilation album by my bands from 1985 to ’87, Go! Service and Bluetrain, is getting released by Berlin’s Firestation Records on 13th November.
It’s made up of the two 12″s which originally came out on Dan Treacy’s Dreamworld Records in the mid ’80s.
Go! Service supported the Television Personalities around Europe in 1984, when I was 18.
This record contains previously un-released early demo tracks ‘Too Much To Hide’ and ‘Find Another Way’ both recorded in London in 1984.
After changing drummers, the band became Bluetrain and released ‘Land of Gold’ again, on Dreamworld.

Also just released – this fabulous box set / cd booklet ‘Make More Noise! Women In Independent Music 1977 – 1987’ on Cherry Red, contains my track ‘It Makes Me Realise’ by Go! Service, written and recorded when I was eighteen.
